You should always pay attention to the road in front of you as you approach an intersection or perform a turn. A separate available feature, Front Pedestrian and Bicyclist Braking, is designed to detect pedestrians and bicyclists.
If the camera (located behind the rearview mirror) is obstructed in any way or not properly cleaned, the system might not perform as expected, for example, if the windshield is covered with frost or snow. Keep the windshield in front of the camera clean for best feature performance. Check your Owner’s Manual for instructions on cleaning the camera and sensors.
Under bad weather or poor visibility conditions, the system might not function as intended.
The system is designed to detect licensable powered vehicles, including motorcycles.
